The You + ME Registry represents a repository of patient-reported data drawn from individuals enduring myalgic encephalomyelitis (commonly known as chronic fatigue syndrome or ME/CFS), individuals with persistent symptoms following a viral infection, and control volunteers. These individuals possess critical insights to share based on their firsthand experiences. You + ME affords patients a platform to impart their knowledge regarding their condition for the betterment of research. The resultant extensive dataset is available to researchers worldwide, aiding in a deeper comprehension of disease etiology and the formulation of effective treatments.
Upon enrollment in the Registry via a secure web portal, participants contribute health information through a series of surveys. Additionally, they utilize the You + ME mobile app to document symptoms, activity levels, and other disease-related factors over time.
Users of the You + ME mobile app are tasked with systematically reporting on a core symptom set consisting of fatigue, cognitive impairment (brain fog), non-restorative sleep, orthostatic intolerance (dizziness upon standing), and post-exertional malaise (PEM). Apart from the 5 core symptoms, individuals can select additional symptoms pertinent to them for tracking within the app. The app also includes screens for inputting life events (e.g., social engagements), levels of physical activity, and an overall assessment of well-being. Within the app, graphical tools offer users detailed trends through user-friendly charts, facilitating health monitoring and potential sharing with family members or healthcare providers.
How to use:
- Sign up for the You + ME Registry, create a profile, and complete the Informed Consent: youandmeregistry.com
- Complete the initial surveys within the secure web portal
- Download the mobile app
- Log in using your You + ME username (email) and password established during registration
- Start tracking!
